Who are we?
The Becky Walker Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement provides students selected with $10,000 in scholarship funding over a four year period for their collegiate studies. The scholarship is currently awarded to 2 Spoto High School seniors and 1 Leto High School Senior who demonstrate exceptional academic and extra-curricular achievement, community service, and the financial need for tuition assistance.

In addition, we are now supporting Spoto High School's culinary program, offering 1x $5,000 scholarship to a promising high school senior to continue their education.
Current Qualifications for Consideration
Four Year 2.9 aggregate GPA on a 4.0 scale and successful graduation from Spoto and Leto High School.
Demonstration of a passion for community service and extracurricular activities
Demonstration of a need for tuition assistance

One letter showing passion for extra-curricular activities and community service

Student applicants will write a brief essay. Pick an experience from your own life and explain how it has influenced your personal growth, your community involvement and what you hope to do in the future.

Current stats
We have to date distributed 11 scholarships to Spoto and Leto High School seniors amounting to $105,000 in scholarship funds.

We plan to continue offering our applications to more and more Title 1 high schools around the Tampa bay area as well as increase the # of scholarships provided.
